Home Detention
The Noble County Home Detention Program currently operates as a division of the
Noble County Probation Department. The program is currently staffed by three(3)
individuals:

Robert Haywood – Home Detention Officer

James Hunt – Probation Officer/Home Detention Officer

Marlene Doutt – Home Detention Assistant
The program consists of utilizing electronic monitoring devices for the
supervision of offenders in a least restrictive community based situation.
Individuals to be placed on supervision are required to meet a set of criteria
to be considered for placement. Those criteria include but are not limited to:

Type of employment
-
County of residence is considered for placement or transfer

A home telephone is required

The individual must remain inside of the their residence unless given specific
permissions

Payment of the supervision fees
Noble County currently uses two(2) types of home monitoring equipment that are
monitored 24 hours a day. An industry standard type of radio frequency (RF)
transmitters and receivers are utilized as well as Global Positioning (GPS)
devices when necessary.
The cost of participation is currently $120.00, which pays for the initial
hookup of equipment and for the first week of supervision. A weekly fee of
$70.00 is due for each week thereafter.
